OK, we haven't had a fast food thread in a few days. :) Just wondering if anyone has any new discoveries in terms of quick, cheap, unhealthy sustenance that can be obtained at a drive-thru window. From the descriptions of those who tried the chicken fries last week, they sounded like small strips of grease held together by a few bits of compressed mystery meat in the middle. I have some better recommendations:

-Has anyone tried the chili lime chicken strips from Dairy Queen? (I realize that those who live in central Houston may not have access.) I just tried those and they're good. They come with chips instead of fries. They actually use a LOT of spices on the chicken, which is rare in the bland world of fast food. Not sure how healthy this is (except for the white meat in the middle), but I give them credit for coming up with something different.

-For those of you with access to Culver's (mainly Austin, San Antonio, or way up in Yankee territory), try the cheeseburgers or cheese sandwiches. (again, if you haven't had any lately) They've switched to "natural" cheese. I don't know what that means, or how unnatural that means the cheese used to be, but the Wisconsin Swiss Melt is now even more amazingly good than it was before.... and I hadn't thought that was possible.

-I hear good things about Taco Bell Crunchwraps. Haven't gotten around to trying it. Kind of sick of their other stuff, except for the cheesy fiesta potatoes.

Any other recommendations/ reviews of new stuff? Finally, anyone want to join me at the gym to work all this off? :)

They're like a taco frisbee. Not bad.

I probably ate at Taco Bell twice from 1999 to 2004, but I've already eaten there three times this summer -- that's unrelated to the Crunchwrap though.

I don't really like the crunchwrap. Probably half of that is because the Taco Bell I go to (only one I've even seen up here) is awful -- they just don't make anything well. But I thought the crunchwrap was sort of bland -- it needs some of that Baja sauce or something.

I dig the crunchwrap supreme, but no more for me. After the 13th, I'm off fast food for a while. Luckily, I don't consider BW3 fast food, but outside of that, I'm done. I've been eating so much of it lately that I just don't feel all that great. Time to start taking care of my old ass. :(

You'd eat more of those if you didn't eat so many twinkies, Flapjack.
