I might be wrong, but I think this might be the first actual list of movies that will appear on Blu-ray. I don't even recall Sony mentioning titles they were going to release. This is good for Blu-ray since there has been a HD-DVD titles list for quite a while.

And before any of you ask, I have no idea on what the advantages are of watching an animated show in HD. But I do seem to want Family Guy on Blu-ray no matter what.

edit: Poor Matsus hita. They can never get their name past the filters.

Wow, if not high def, at least you could get a whole season, maybe a couple of seasons on one freaking disk.

Imagine if they can get blue-ray up to the rumored 8 layers eventually. We're talking some major storage here.

Considering there's a format war brewing and initial reports have the HD-DVD players not even working on my "outdated" HDTV set, I'll hold off on upgrading from regular DVD.

But damn would I love to have Moulin Rouge and Die Hard in high def. 24 would be cool too, but I can watch that in HD when it's broadcast.

It'll be nice when X-files comes out - it should fit on two Blu-Ray disks....

... but they'll probably still charge $800 for it.
