My dad just emailed me this. It was originally emailed out by a NASA flight director. It's insane. I thought I would share... Click to enlarge.
I went ahead and cropped down the image to wallpaper sizes so it doesn't skew when you stretch it to your wallpaper. Moon Walk 1600x1200 Moon Walk 1280x1024 Moon Walk 1024x768
Here is an even cooler picture in my opinion... a self portrait, with the bottom of the shuttle and those blasted tiles in the background. If you look closely you can see the space station too. NOTE: If you use Firefox and try to save this, Firefox will probably freeze or crash. http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/124415main_image_feature_380a_ys_full.jpg I will post cropped wallpapers of this image in a few minutes.
How fitting that STS-51-A was also a Discovery flight, lol.... and BOY have their cameras come a long way in 21 years, haha.
I have a ton of absolutley astounding photos from this mission. Anyone got some room to host them? Can image shack hold 1.5mb+ jpegs?
