I haven't added Finley or Houston because they are not available.

Ole Spree at the LLE would be great, but wouldn't he cost a little more than that?

I would have voted Dermarr Johnson over Van Exel, but I think the team is in more need of a real point guard.

I vote Demarr Johnson, Spree next. I don't like the other choices for the LLE. I would take NVE for the min though.

I agree Johnson may be the most logical fit. I'd like to take a flyer on JWillII but that probably gives us almost zilch for next season and I don't see us doing it.

I went NVE only because T-Mac identified the pg spot as a need of upgrade and I think CD and JVG are thinking that way and are expecting Head to contribute immediately in support of Wesley. Risky. But if it works out NVE may be the best short-term solution now.

One more thing. I think the entire league is going to play small-ball more than ever including us. With the addition of Stro I think when Yao goes out of the game we won't automatically insert Deke.

Last year we adjusted to other teams (with not very good results). This year I think CD and JVG understand that we need to be able to make teams adjust to us sometimes and NVE's stroke will add greater significance than it might have last year.

    Latrell Sprewell

    OR

    Nick Van Exel

I dont care for any of these guys, but with the money we are going to be handing out these are the best we can get... I think Latrell is Fed up in the head, but IF we could get him at the LLE JVG would get a great return on the money..

I just can't risk Jay Williams - sorry.

I voted for NVE. Sure, he's older. I think he could be born again in Houston.

    I voted no one.

At this point, we'd be better served with trades than with adding marginal talent for our 1.7 mil we have to offer.

You can't be that picky with the LLE. You're not going to sign a flawless player for that kinda money. The best you can do is sign a player whose weaknesses can be covered up by current personnel.

Getting a solid rotation/possible starter like Anderson or Van Exel would be a great addition for the Rockets. Neither one is The Final Piece, but either would strengthen the rotation. Adding Anderson for LLE, in particular, would be a *very* nice addition.

If you can't sign those guys (or someone like Johnson or Spree), I'd take a flyer on Jay Williams.
