Berman reported Barry will be back, so that's good. Also, Berman said that Stoudamire's agent told him that it was unlikely "both sides" (Rockets and Stoudamire) would reach an agreement since Houston has no money to offer and Portland unwilling to do a SnT, so it does look like (to me) that Stoudamire is a thing of the past. Time to move on...
That's pretty much all Berman said also. Didn't state any numbers, length of contract. I guess something will be worked out in a few days.
Tiger, you're gonna have to fight with bigbodymoe over who started the thread first. It was a tight race. We need a photofinish Great NEWS
One would have to think it is for two years, starting at $2.1 million. Perhaps with an opt out after the first year.
This is really good news, because for me I think that the Rockets need to have these three Rockets back from last season more than anyone else: Deke, Barry, and Sura. I really think that these three guys are the primary role players on this team. I am indifferent to the rest, could care less if MJ or Wesley or even Howard are traded away, as long as it is to improve our roster and add another piece to the puzzle. But Sura and Barry are the heart and soul of this team, IMO.
Jon is my neighbor, he likes to eat at Boston Market on West Gray.. Welcome back Jon and please use your mouth for eating, not for motivating other teams to play better...
Im very glad to see Barry back. He is definently a smart player and hit's the clutch 3's when we need him. Now lets keep this off season rolling and bring back Deke and we are just moving forward.
I think I'm glad to finally hear the end of the DS to Houston. I just don't think he is the right fit.
I really like his fast-break-spot-up-and-drain-a-three shot. I'm glad I'll get to see one more year of it!
Has it ever occured to you to tell him about Clutchfans? You should tell him to check it out for all Rockets-related info/discussions, etc. Oh, and tell him to ask Yao and McGrady to get on here and blog for us on weekly basis. Just a thought
good to know we are not getting Stoudamire.... i remember from his raptor days...that the guy don't know what D stands for.
Yeah - that shot ranks up there with the oh-crap-they-left-bullard-open-and-he's-gonna-make-'em-pay shot.
