Just read about this yesterday and downloaded a copy. Looks pretty cool. Cross-platform internet telephone thing. I remember they used to have these but they didn't work very well and they weren't cross-platform. This works on Mac and PC (and Linux) and seems like it works pretty damn well.

I've been using skype for over a year. It sure beats spending $300 on phone bills. (I call over seas a lot). It's my way of keeping contact with my parents and friends back in Saudi. I highly recomend this software. It's one of the must haves on my list.
I've been meaning to install Skype, Smeg highly recommended it to me, but I hadnt gotten a round to it yet. Does it work with video?
Skype is evil, evil I tell you. No access to local 911. What happens if your puppy chokes on his food. Who do you call. No one!! Sincerely, SBC
Some company just tried to buy SKYPE for $3 Billion. Skype didn't sell, but it most likely will be sold in the near future. Skype has 20million active users. More than 200 million (IIRC) have downloaded the program. Skype makes its money off of subscribers who use their pay service (call phone from PC, or buy a phone # for your pc so people can call you from their phones as if calling a real phone)
skypes badass. i like alot also try voipbuster. free calls all over USA, and some euro countries too.
