As a fan, who would you want on opening night to play against the Rockets? Would you want them to seek revenge and play Dallas? Would you rather them test their games against the Spurs? Maybe a small forward showdown with none other than King James? Or would you just go for a small confidence building season opener against a team like Boston or somethin'... I'd like them to open against a crappy team, just so Swift and the boys have a chance to play together without any expectations - playing Detroit last year sucked coz Tmac and Yao hadn't even had a game under their belt and they had to face the champs... I've got a gut feeling we'll be playing a contender simply because it'll be a ratings draw...
The Spurs. Nobody else is even close. I'd want a tight game where T-Mac & Yao took over down the stretch. That would be a perfect opening.
