Where is the guy? Is he working front office or just kicking it with his family in houston and enjoying retirement?

He was on I believe 92.9 this morning doing an interview which I only caught the tail end of. He's a Lakers scout but still is a big rockets fan. He really likes the addition of Stro. He is in good health and the cancer really gave him a lot of perspective. He also thinks it will be odd to not have Calvin on the radio, but didn't really go on much beyond that other than telling a story of when he and Calvin were roomates. That's all I heard, but Rudy sounded happy and healthy, something I think we're all glad to see.

actually, it was on 93.7(unless he went by and visited with 92.9 also)

he did say that he is in charge of scouting for the Lakers in this region which allows him to spend a fair amount of time here in town.

then there was a bit about roses and some other stuff like you said...likes Stro..thinks it was a real good move for the Rockets.

I hope that Rudy gets the chance to coach another team in the near future. Honestly, once this team gets a little bit more experience he woud be perfect. Alas, I think that Rudy will never get the chance to coach the Rox again.

Yea, I dont want to see Rudy Coach Again.
Most people dont understand how extreme emotional stress can weaken your immune system. Its also difficult to go through a cancer treatment without damaging your immune system.

I wish the best for the guy and hope he ends up in the Rockets Front office again someday.

Do you think Rudy T hurt his Rocket legacy by going to the Lakers? I hope not. I want to live to see his glorious Rocket return someday as a vice prez or general mgr.

I dunno bout GM. He did pick nachbar and other scrubs on our team. CD wasn't great in the past, but with JVG he's somehow getting good grades on player movements and this past draft.

    Perhaps Rudy as team president?
