As gbritton just said, DerMarr Johnson would be that guy and would be more cost effective -- i.e., less costly and more effective.

Says you. I bet you didn't know that he is a poster on this board. And I'm sure that he would be devestated if people didn't notice that he signed off with "Stuart" at the end of his messages instead of "Stewart".

Huh, what? Did somebody say Darius Miles?????

Now, there's a great idea! Rox, welcome to the get Darius Miles club. I think there are 3 of us now. You, me, and the signature member Kim. If we could S&T for Miles and DS, then we would still have our LLE left to give to somebody like Finley or Demarr. Miles would be a defensive juggernaut and a mismatch waiting to happen on offense. Not to mention our fast break would be something to behold with him and Swift running the floor with TMac and Stoudamire.

What's the deal with Gerald Wallace anyways? He's restricted so that almost unquestionably puts him out of our price range so talking about adding him is kind of pointless, but still i'm kind of curious why he hasn't been resigned yet.

Just turned 23 years old and is a very effective hustle player. Bickerstaff should retain him.

I'm for bringing in DerMarr Johnson. He can be had for the LLE to boot.

This is what a Denver fan said of him at RealGM:

"DerMarr has been struggling to regain some consistency in his play ever since his near-fatal car wreck a few years ago. Last year, he was very solid for us. He struggled a bit during the first half of the season, but under George Karl, he flourished, averaging post-All-Star break numbers of 8.7 ppg in just 20 mpg with 55.6% and 43.5% from beyond the arc. Throughout the season, many Nuggets fans were calling for DerMarr to be given starter minutes, but, Karl preferred to go with a SG-by-committee, with DerMarr, Greg Buckner and Wesley Person all sharing minutes at SG.

I think DerMarr has a chance to be an average or slightly above-average starting SG or 6th man sometime in the future. He has a rare combination of explosive athleticism and, at times, deadly outside shooting (especially from the corner). He's also very long and fairly quick. He's basically a poor man's T-Mac.

DerMarr says he wants to return to Denver and Denver GM Kiki says he wants to bring him back but first wants to focus on finding a legitimate starter at SG. DerMarr says he'll wait while the Nuggets search for a starter. I'm guessing he'll sign for LLE-type money for either one year or multi-years with the option to opt-out after a year in case he breaks out and becomes worthly of a bigger contract. Also, DerMarr best friend is K-Mart, who played a major role in DerMarr signing with Denver in the first place and may play a role in getting him re-signed."

Why would he want to stay in Denver to be a backup when we could offer him a chance to compete for the starting SG spot.

i really dont want damon stodemire on our team. the rockets could have traded for this guy years ago, when he was still young and in his prime. now this dude is like 30 something, and misses open lay-ups at fonde community center.Mighty Mouse's career in the nba has been a disappointment in my opinion. he had a good three years in toronto; then all of a sudden vanished. damon is the case of a promising young star, whos life, and game turned into some weed smoke. this dude used to be nice when he was a rookie in toronto. where did his quickness, crossover and jumper go??? i would be more content if the rockets signed dan dickau or jeff mcginnis (in houston as we speak) to be starting point instead of damon.

More like a homeless man's T-Mac......... MoPete is the SG we need. I'd take whoever the Raptors wanted to purge to get that deal done.
