I've been using them for about a month now and they are driving me up the wall.. I LOVE the turnaround time of Blockbuster online DVD system (2-3 days) and if they did games I would pay for that too.. The Gamefly system takes about 6-7 business days to get a new game I may buy the in store Blockbuster “game pass” and try that out, but the blockbuster by my work really doesn’t have that many titles in stock on a regular basis and I can only get one game out at a time verses 2 at Gamefly.. Anyone else deal with these problems??
Yep, they suck. I got both Netflix and Gamefly at the beginning of the summer. Netflix is great for movies because they have a distribution center right in my city. It only took a couple of days to get the movies. Gamefly, on the other hand, only has a base in California, so it took forever to get games. I cancelled after I finished playing God of War.
I also have a Gamefly account and it takes forever to get the games. Anyone have any luck with the competitors? I know there are a few others.
if you're signed up with blockbuster online, use your 2 in store coupons to get games... since they removed their "late" fees, you can keep it for up to 2 weeks, and becuase there are 2 coupons you basically get an entire month to beat a game if it takes that long. thats what ive been doing for the past 4 months anyway.
Yeah I do, but I have a very short attention span and like to swap out about twice a week until I get board of playing video games.. Seems like I go though phases of playing tons of online computer games stop cold turkey then play tons of x-box and vise versa...
i use gamefly and actually they are making it faster. see once you send the game back to them it goes thru the post office first ,and as soon as the post office scans the video game sleeve the base in california sends out the next game.
I tried Gamefly out earlier in the year when they had a free 30-day trial. I pretty much had the same impressions that everyone here has of them: they are just al ittle bit slow. My problem was that one of the games they sent me didn't work, so I sent it back and asked them just to put the next game on my list (Shadow Hearts: Covenant). They sent me the same game and it also didn't work (not sure if it was just a coincedence or if my PS2 can't read it; if so, it was the only one to do so). By the time all that went on, I was basically done with my trial. Luckily, I was able to get God of War and Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne during my free trail, so I got some quality gaming in. And just recently, I was able to get a hold of Shadow Hearts: Covenant from a friend. Speaking of which, for anyone that even remotely likes RPG's, you must check that game out. That was one of the best RPGs I've played in a long time (probably one of the best this-gen), and you should be able to find it for $20 or less. Sorry about going a little OT, but that game deserves it.
ive only played the demo of it, but once i return call of duty (later on this week) im going to rent that one... needless to say i think ill be busy for a good 12hrs on friday.
