Looking for a 17" Flat Panel

I bought htis one a few months ago from Best Buy. Its works great, good refresh time, nice design. Its not as thin as some flat-panel's I've seen, but its one of the better one's you can get for around $200.

The refresh on these are horrible, but if your just doing some basic stuff with it you'll be ok..

 

I bought the Viewsonic VP171B-2 a few months ago and I love it. It has 8ms response time so you don't have to worry about any ghosting in games. May be more than you need though if you're not planning to use it for gaming.

I swear by anything by Samsung. If you have DVI on your video card, make sure you get the feature on the monitor and use it.

Personally, I have 2 Samsung SyncMaster 910T's on my system, 1 on my girlfriend's, and a 910T & a 710N in her studio.
