Batten down the hatches in Houston, here comes a another big storm. Just in time for rush hour. What's going on with this weather lately? It didn't rain once in June and now it's raining every day.
I hate rain. This weather is slowly killing my spirit and soul. I think I photosynthesize, b/c I get very moody on overcast days.
I use to mow lawns to make money and this sort of weather is the norm. Feast or famine when it comes to rain.
Im no meterologist, so i dunno the correct terms but look at the rader http://www.srh.noaa.gov/radar/loop/DS.p37cr/si.khgx.shtml you can see 3 seperate expanding circles, one sw of town, one in town and one ne east of town - I think those are the cold air burst down from the atosmphere - neat stuff! it just start pouring like crazy here at Westheimer @ S. Gessner
My wife works at a place close to that corner. She mentions it is a heavy downpour, not some wussy little sprinkly rain. Be careful, everyone. YAY! My fertilizer got its water!
Well, you can start with "radar". Yeah, yeah, yeah we needed the rain & all, and I'm glad we got a bunch of it, but this is getting pretty freaking ridiculous. Enough already. This is seriously cutting into my poolside lounging, I look like a yankee in December. And the mosquitos are insane right now, Deep Woods Off did no good at my last softball game. Time to bust out the 100% DEET.
Whoa,Whoa,Whoa,Whoa,Whoa,Whoa,Whoa,Whoa,Whoa,Whoa,Whoa,Whoa,Whoa,Whoa... You're on a softball team? b*stard. I love the weather. Anything's better than 98 with 100% humidity.
I'm liking the rain, but my lawn is out of control. I never get to mow it because it's always wet, and it's taken off now that it finally has water (something it would never get from me).
Hate to thread hijack but, ima_drummer2k - I read that you have worked at Enterprise before. Could you tell me what you thought about the company and work experience? Any info would be appreciated.
It rains a lot in Houston. It always has. Sometimes it takes a "rest," but it rains. A lot. I remember floating down Montrose in a canoe in the mid-'70's. Nothing new here, ima
