Well, you can just get yourself one of those cars with automatic transmission, but still offer a manumatic option...kinda like the Audi TT among many other cars now that have it. You get the benefit of the auto during heavy traffic, and can still shift and have fun on the highway. Anyways, the only reason I drive a manual every once in a while is so that whenever I travel overseas I have to drive manual anyways, so I try to keep my skills polished up and ready to go. Sadly, there is just no way to simulate the chaotic traffic situation in Cairo, so I never can get used to that.
My first car was a stick and I had no clue really how to drive it. After about a week of driving it out 4 miles and back I got pretty good. My main problem was also starting and stopping. After about 2 weeks though I had it down pat. The best thing to do is just learn how to let out the clutch to the point where the car starts rolling along by itself. Once you learn where that point is it becomes a lot easier to operate.
Haha yeah, automatic transmission was made for girls. But this manumatic crap was made for panzies. No offense to you manumatic panzies out there.
Yeah dont do that push the gas down while letting the clutch go. Not smooth at all. Just learn in a parking lot how to drive with just the clutch like so many have already said. Dont use the gas....learn how to make the car roll with the clutch.
Agree completely. All I've ever owned are manual transmissions, including my current vehicle. My knees are getting so bad that I fear traffic now because of the pain it causes.
Hahaha thats me in traffic. I dont mind rolling traffic w/ a manual but when its stop and go....MOTHER f*** S*** A****LE
So I have seen people saying do not push the gas while the clutch is down also but that is the way I was taught. Ease off the clutch, ease on the gas. If I understand correctly mostof you guys are saying just ease off the clutch, once the car starts to move then give it gas but when do you totaly let off the clutch because if you do it too fast the car will end up stalling.
