This topic is addressed to Clutch & Darkhorse just because I have heard them mention that they have BOTH gone on a church mission for the LDS church. However, it is addressed to all of you because since I found this ridiculous site, it has replaced all hopes at a social life and it has become a family of sorts. However, after a few ROUGH weeks of anticipation, I finally received my mission call this afternoon, to Bucharest, Romania. A man roughly my age served in the same mission, but other than that, I know absolutely NOTHING about the place. But I have, since finding this site, found that it is arguably the best source of information for almost ANYTHING...so...anybody ever been to that area? Anyone know ANYTHING about it? I'd like to know as much as I can before I drop off the face of the earth for a few years. Thank you Darkhorse for the words of encouragement and thanks to everyone who keeps this site the BEST on the Net. I don't leave till the 27th of June, but once I finally AM gone (many of you anticipate the day, I'm sure ), I'm sure I'll return a few years later and the site will be bigger and better than ever. Comments? Suggestions? ------------------ Jazzkiller
Can't be worse than SLC, right? Just kidding. I know next to nothing about it, I'm sorry to say. I just wanted to say it sounds like it'll be a great adventure and to wish you good luck (I'll wish you good luck again closer to 6/7). ------------------ RealGM Gafford Art Artisan Cakes
What exactly are you going to do when youre over there? Just curious as a couple of years seems like a long time to me. I know nothing about Romania but I am sure there are a lot fo places on the net you can learn about it. Im sure it will be a good experience. ------------------

I had a former co-worker who served on a mission. He said he had to go to Bolivia. From the stories he told me, I thought he had gone to hell instead. He fell off a 20 foot cliff, endured watching people eating monkey brains, had monkeys take a leak on him from trees, get nearly devoured by mosquitos... geez. And concerning the social life. You live in SLC... what are you looking for a social life for?! (I loved the city, btw) Good luck. ------------------ "So you say you want some intelligent responses?
