I fell asleep during that movie and just threw the DVD away.

I did not like Napoleon Dynamite at all. It was slow and boring for me, but it was quite a well made film considering their budget.

Anyways, as for the recent Ferrel, Wilson, Vaughn, Stiller etc crew movies, I would rank them:
    Wedding Crashers
    Zoolander
    Old School
    Anchorman

I've rented that movie about 3 times and never get around to watching it. Ok, that's my project for this week. I'll let you know how it goes. :)

It just seems that Napoleon Dynamite and Zoolander both have that weird, twisted "love it or hate it" style of comedy. I'm guessing that Jeff won't be able to stand Napoleon Dynamite...

I was going to post the same thing. It seems that Jeff and I have similar taste in comedy and while I didnt hate Napoleon Dynamite, I sure as hell didnt like it either. Zoolander sucked all kinds of balls.

There were parts of Zoolander that I loved. The movie as a whole ended was average to slightly above average.

Anchorman is up near the top for me, because it had perhaps the funniest scenes of all of them but it wasn't consistent. IT was never bad though, and the extremely funny scenes in it put it near the top.

Old School was consistently pretty funny.

Wedding Crashers is right there with Old School.

    Anchorman - Hated it!

Old School was ok but nothing more than that. It had a few funny parts but wasnt consistantly funny.

Van Wilder may be one of the funniest movies ever. Went way under the radar for some reason.

Road Trip is definitely one of my favs.

American Pie (especially the first 10 times I saw it) was just hilarious. I can still watch it and laugh but I have seen it so many times now that its more of a nostalgic laugh.

One of my new favorites is Team America. The songs are awesome.

Saw it last night, guess that's why I missed the Stro signing. Anyways, I absolutely loved this movie and I have to see it again. Vince Vaughn is just so quick, your laughing so loud at one joke that you miss the next one.

I read a review of this one that made a good point. It said that it started so incredibly fast that it actually made the ending seem dull and drawn out. I could see that. The movie is 2 hours - long for a comedy. And, boy does it ever start out with guns a blazin'. Still hilarious.

Funniest movie this year. I thought it ALOT funnier than Old School as well. That dinner table scene was HILARIOUS! So many good moments in the movie.

    ======== spoilers =============

My goodness. Did you men remember to wear your panties when you went to watch this movie?

I was very hyped to see this one expecting a lot and was disappointed when it turned out to be a freakin' chick flick in disguise. Yes, there were certainly some funny moments. Vaughn stole the show. Well, almost stole the show (those of you who saw the movie know who did - "Where's my meatloaf? F***!!!).

I expected a lot more from Walken. His character was about as tame as I've ever seen him play. The homo son angle was weak. So many of the funny lines were given away in the trailer. I know that happens a lot, but damn. As far as frat pack movies go I wouldn't even rank this one above Anchorman. I'm sorry it was just too much of a love story for me. And I'm not saying love story comedies can't be funny...just look at Something About Mary. A classic example of how much Wedding Crashers fell short.

Did anyone stay to the very end of the credits? I stayed for about 1/2 of them expecting to see some bloopers or funny stuff, but nothing ever came up.

And, see, I freakin' HATED Something About Mary. I actually turned it off half way through. To each his/her own I suppose.

My favorite scene in Anchorman was the showdown between the various anchormen from different channels.

As for Wedding Crashers, yes it was a bit long, but I enjoyed them tying a love story into it. There were lots of great romantic comedies, although I would not say There's Something About Mary is one of them.

I am actually pissed that I missed the end of movie extras. I guess I'll have to go see it again now. ;)

That's your problem right there. :) Something About Mary should be seen in a theatre. The laughter I heard in the theatre from everyone just doubled the fun.

I think my main problem is that I tend to prefer the wisecracking, fast-talking, one-liner type of comedy over the pain-and-gross-are-funny variety. It's why Stripes, Nightshift, the Birdcage and even a couple Woody Allen movies are at the top of my list all time. The Faralley brothers never appealed to me that much.

I always thought Old School was overrated, and I LOVE toilet humor. It just didn't flow (pun intended) for me. Now, the wedding scene when that guy mutilated that song with F-bombs was worth the price of admission in and of itself.

    Turn around,
Every now and then I get a little bit frightened
I see the ****ing look in your eye...
And I need you now tonight
I ****ing need you now forever

My problem is that I compare today's comedies with the classics like Caddyshack, Animal House, Blues Brothers etc. Of course they aren't going to stand up to them. No movie ever will.
