GATER, nike, etc: I know the Rocket's are over the cap, but they have a few exceptions to use: 1) They can re-sign Barry & Deke without cutting into any exception 2) MLE 3) LLE My question is, how many different exceptions do you have? For instance, is there only one LLE? So if we sign Mighty Mouse to the LLE, we wouldn't have another to sign another swingman? I know we have a set amount of MLE money and that's it, but I wasn't sure if its the same as far as league minimums go.. thanks in advance
That is it. MLE & LLE. The LLE can't be used two years in a row- unless the CBA changed it. You can only sign a player to a max two year deal on the LLE. I think you can sign as many as you want with the minimums. Also the mimimums now do not count against the Lux Tax. An incentive to bring in veterans over less experienced players. This is why I think the Rockets will try and get Deke & Barry back with the minimums. The Rockets are already very close to the Luxury tax after the use the MLE. It will be interesting to see what little nuggets the new CBA has in it.
after the swift signing all we have is the LLE it can be used in a 2 year deal would be at most 2 years 4.20 (four-twenty) or as little as 2 years 3.7 millon depending on the final numbers. the last year can be a team or player option. Basically it be around 2 million a year. After that we can offer minimum contracts to players which is around 1.1 million depending on how many years in the league i think.
