so if we unload Spoon in a S-n-trade, then we can add him to the 15 man roster ;)

well he scored 31 tonight so that helps to see if he is really worth a roster spot. if we get rid of spoon and baker i wouldnt mind having him one bit

And we got Mike James for him and a second round pick? Jesus.

Sorry for being off-topic, just wanted to throw that out there.

Baxter averaging 22ppg in the summer league and they only play 10 minute quarters.

I think he may have earned a spot.

This years Summer league looks alot more promising compared to the Dan Langhi, Eddie Griffin, Boston Nachobar years. :) We actaully have decent roleplayers on our summer squad.

If it was possible to actually earn a spot on the roster then so far Baxter seems to have earned it. Performance seems consistent and those aren't complete scrubs out there. Game 1 was vs. Artest.

Actually it was two 2nd. They way I look at it is we gave up a 2nd to get Mike James and we gave up a 2nd to get rid of Reece Gaines and his mil something salaried roster spot.

It was a great steal of a trade.

Yeah, I kinda think just about anyone in the NBA could put up great numbers if he were the guy with the ball in his hands all the time.

Problem is Baxter won't be the "go-to" guy on the Rockets. Wouldn't even be the 4th option. How do you think he'd fare when he's not in rhythm after shooting the ball 6 out of the last 10 times down the court?

Yeah. I'd like to see how he handles the defensive GENIUS of C-Spoon in practice. Then we'll really know how good he is.

Do not count anyone out. Remember Antonio Davis? He was a nothing floating around before he became a star with the pacers. Sometimes it just take the right situation for a player to blossom. Hey we can all dream right?

No doubt, we need to sign this guy and trade him for Gaines. If Reese was 0 for 5 in that game, the law of averages says he has to make a shot sometime.......
