I went to the SPL game Sunday Lakers vs. Memphis at Cal State Long Beach.
Bynum....the guy the Lakers picked,i don't know what is so frightening about him? i looked at him and said, "Huh, that's him?"!! "he doesn't look intimidating at all....i can drive to the hoop get crashed by him and be whatever
even though he had a couple of dunks and a hook shot, he is not strong enough against NBA physical centers and looks a bit sloppy. Yao and Shaq would eat him alive that it is not funny....yeah he looks good against these guys....but he aint' doing that in the NBA yet.
Sasha Vujacic officially sucks, even Lakers fan say he complain too much......it was funny to see Brian Shaw and Kurt Rambis yelling at him....
i saw Mike Fratello coaching the Memphis team.

i saw Mitch Kupchak sitting down chatting with a Lakers fan, he was about 3 rows ahead of us....we kept talking smack about how dumb he was to trade shaq and his latest pick is terrible(Bynum). some fans were yelling, "you suck Mitch!". the guy in front of me got Mitch's autograph and i took a look at it...
me and my friend said it loud, how stupid it was for Mitch to trade Shaq. i think he heard us LOL.

the coolest part was seeing Kevin Garnett walk in and shake hands with Jerry West. I saw Jerry West earlier and he was talking to his friend, i noticed them. I pointed at them, "hey that's Jerry West" and they tried to act normal
i was minding my own business when my friend said, "hey that's Kevin Garnett". he doesn't look 7 feet tall, the kids in kobe jerseys and some ppl ran to him and wanted his autograph....everyone turned their heads and just looked at him, saying "KG in the house!".

    worth the $8 i paid :D
i am kind of upset that someone as sucky as Bynum and Sasha get paid a lot....that's not right

You sound like one of those annoying autograph hounds.

Sasha is horrible, but Bynum IMO has a much greater chance of becoming an all-star in five years than the next Desagana Diop. The Knicks would have been better off drafting him than Frye.

my friends went to the LA/Miami game this past wednesday and said bynum had a pretty good showing around 12 points 7boards but got most of his points off of his own effort as others on the summer team kept the ball to themselves because they have more at stake in terms of trying to land a contract

i wouldnt reserve judgement just yet on bynum, i am not sure how bad/good he'll turn out to be but at least give him a full year in the nba before passing anything on him, not one summer league game

Bynum is what 17 or 18?From what I've seen he's a manchild with huge upside. The Lakers have watched this guy for years,so I'd expect them to get it right.

Mitch did not trade Shaq. That was 100% Jerry Buss's decision. And even at that, it was not a trade. It was an economic decison to not sign an aging superstar to a huge long-term contract. One injury and a few salary handicaped seasons and it turns out to be an excellant decision.

Either way, deriding Mitch is way off base.

Bynum is extremely young and still has a tone of work to do, but if he can get things right, he could turn out to be one heck of a player. He just needs to lose some of the baby fat and hit the weight room first.

LOL, it was still fun though. I heard from other people in attendance that last week the fans booed Mitch
regardless, they still should of paid shaq regardless.......he helped bought them 3 championships....he is worth it if he can make them championship contender material...better than missing the playoffs and ending up with a worse record than the clippers.. :D

BTW - I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the Lakers falling below the Clippers. I'm a serious Laker hater.
