    It's on at the Melbourne International Film Festival this year. Not that it helps anyone on this board....

    But I'll head down and check it out.

    I wanted to see Year of the Yao in Los Angeles when it opened, but the theater said they cancelled it. I believe that specific theatre was the only one that was showing the Yao movie and i believe that movie did really bad in terms of making money hear.

    I read it was about $28,000 in the US. I'm not sure how accurate that is.

    thanks for the replies, guys. The good news is that I am watching it tonight with my mum after briefly explaining to her who Yao is and what he does. Having spoken to few of my mates, I think one of them has got a hold of a copy. Maybe I could borrow and rip it and put it online. Let's wait and see.
