I haven't seen every inerview or clip, but have yet to hear out of Tracy's mouth anything regarding Stro', could anybody post where they specifically heard directly from T_Mac? IMO NVE could be that "Stoudamire-type" guard. He wants to be here, he should come relatively cheap and is at a point in his career where he just wants to win and be a role player on a championship caliber team.
i heard the name swift come out of tmac mouth but do not know word for word what he said. it caught me off gaurd to see tmac on the news....if i would of known i would have tried to get the recap. tmac mentioned swiift and stoudamire...

I saw it. TMAC really wants Damon Stud. He said with him and 1 more piece this team will go all the way. He was wearing an Astros hat in the interview.
Yao/Mutombo Swift/Howard Tmac/Bowen Finley/Barry Stoudamire/Head I like this team. But Swift..if he wants to win sign with Rockets but I think he wants more than MLE. But maybe Rockets have convinced him. Then Finley for veteran's? SO how do we get Stoudamire too? Sign & Trade I guess. There are a lot of good athletic point guards (who can shoot) that we can possibly get.
In the beginning of the offseason, my dream offseason consisted of the acquisitions of Damon and Stro. If it happens, it would be unreal to me. A lot of people are knocking on Damon's game, but he seems like the perfect fit to me. A S&T for Swift and a signing of Damon could make us championship contenders IMO. They may not be superstars, but we dont need superstars. Adding those two fills our two biggest needs, strength and a starting PG. I know Stoudamire isn't what he was while he was in Toronto, but he is still a quality PG in the L. I like TMac's thinking, and I hope the front office can make it happen.
If we S&T for Swift, then pay Finley the MLE and Stoudemire takes the LLE, we would have the roster you lined out.
DS/Head/Barry Wesley/Sura/ Tracy/Barry/Bowen Stro/juwan Yao/deke Thats a pretty solid and realsitc front line. There is no way were getting Finley,Stro,and DS. Solid team that should compete for a ring.
I don't know if we want Finley. He didn't seem that effective this past year. Believe me, I know. He was only my fantasy team.
Who cares what Sura thinks. If Sura sitting on the bench in favor of damon, will make this team win a championship; then so be it. Chemistry off the court in the NBA is so overrated. who cares what other players think about each other off the court. Playing good baskettball on the court together is all that count. Shaq and Hobe did'nt get along off the court, but their chemistry on the court was flawless compared to the chemistry off of it, and the won titles for that.
ironically enough that is the same age as last years MVP Steve Nash. I know Damon used to school Steve at the end of games when we played portland in the past. I would take him, he still has very good quickness and still hits the outside shot and 3. He could start or come off of the bench as instant offense. Personally I like the thought of having him on the team as a role player if it does not cost too much.
These are far and away the best three paragraphs I have ever read that shows just how much T-Mac has matured as a player! And he is still so young. Take that Wies-Ass. T-Mac has been so much better than he was ever advertised, I cant wait for the season to start.
Yah, I saw that on Ch 2 last night, and I was really impressed by it too, and he sounded really genuine when he said it, you can tell that he appreciate the mere fact that this team tries to shoot for the stars and be the best it can be, while in Orlando they clearly didn't give a damn and were content enough with selling tickets while he was there, and the fact that he decided to leave there to come here (a specific destination) tells you that the kid really gives a damn about winning, and that winning is THE priority of his career at this point, and he is not apathetic like every idiot around the league thought he was with his last season in Orlando. Hopefully Les Alexander will dig in a bit deeper into his pockets and give this kid and Yao a team they can be proud of and confident in going to war with every single game.
Plus he's an Astros fan! Seriously, it's good to see T-Mac starting to become more and more part of the community.
