Robert Redford came to my school to give a talk (this was during the dark Sonnenschien days when people of this sort were welcomed be the administration. It hadn't happened before and hopefully will never happen again). He went into the common area of one of the dorms and a huge crowd of students enveloped him. A friend of mine was sitting nearby, and looked up and saw the crowd. She knew is was Redford, who she didn't particularly car for, and the crowd was very thick. So she just continued what she was doing. Redford walked up to her and said, "Just try to act nonchalant." She said she wanted to rip his eyes out she was so offended. But she was so shocked by it as well that she managed to do nothing more than sit gaping while he walked away. Redford reportedly looked much older than you'd expect.
