Sure we started slow on the road, but the team has clawed their way back into it, and they have the 2nd best home record in the major leagues.

    GO STROS !!

MMP has proven to offer a very signficant home field advantage for the 'stros over the course of the last 1.5 seasons.

yeahhh...I think that's something that helped me always have hope for the team this year. We may have sucked on the road...but a solid home record suggested we weren't as bad as our overall record indicated. (Of course, I never think we're that bad...but I need some facts to justify it, otherwise it's just me being a homer) ;)

The road record will get closer to .500 as the season goes on. They just dug such a big hole, it will take some time to climb out of it. I don't think they will maintain this pace for the rest of the season. However, they are definitely better than the April/May Astros. If they can just keep winning series, they will be in it to the end. It will come down to the last days just like last season. With any luck, it will turn our way once again.

Imagine what a healthy Pettitte would have meant to us last season. No Pete Munro in game 6. Clemens & Oswalt on regular rest. That is what could happen this year if all works out.

    GO ASTROS!!!

Thankgod it's the home record that kicks ass and not the other way around! I'd be going insane right now if we sucked at home.

    Go Stros! :)

If they had taken care of the Braves in 4 games, as they certainly should have, then Oswalt starts twice in the NLCS, and Munro only once.

    If...argh.

Just remember, we don't have the dan "out of the ball park missile" miceli.

Things should be different in the late innings with out him giving up the bomb for the loss.

It makes me feel good, even, when Wheeler comes in for the 8th. The Wheeler/Lidge combo finishing games is going to get better and better.

Someone asked Jeff Brantly of ESPN if we had a chance at the playoffs. His response was, "Biggio, Ensberg, & Berkman in the offense and a pitching staff with Rog, Andy, and the Wizard. Plus Lidge at the end of the bullpen... OF COURSE they have a chance at the playoffs." (paraphrasing)
