Well, since it's the off-season, and things are a little slow, I'm sharing something here...

I wanted to find footage of Pink Floyd's Live 8 performance. I went to Google's new video search (http://video.google.com). I didn't find what I was looking for. But I did find something interesting.

I found a school from San Fancisco full of very young kids performing Pink Floyd's 'The Wall'. link (I recommend you click on 'play from 2 minutes' at the bottom of the page)

I have two thoughts on this:

    1) If these were experienced musicians and adults, they would suck. But they're actually very good for how young they are (they're little kids!)

    2) I think I've stumbled onto an interesting way for a band to get global exposure. If another band, such Orange Is In, or whatever, did some covers mixed in with original material, and then got their video up on Google, they'd show up in search results for the cover songs, and people would find themselves watching, just as I am watching this school of kids.

I installed the viewer, click on each video and got this "G" and then it switched back to the picture.

    Did you have this problem?

If you didn't run into this, your probably thinking "What is this guy talking about?" Sorry if I can't describe it well.

I get the G just before the video begins. I don't know why that's happening to you.

I think I'd rather watch the kids than watch Pink Floyd.

    Ha that was funny, but....

I don't see people's problem with Creed. Their lead guitarist is pretty good, has produced some pretty good sounding riffs. Stapp has a Grung-like kinda voice that I like. So, they're a Christian band that sings about God and such - I don't see anything wrong with that. Why all the Creed hate? I don't think they're posers - why can't a Christian band be heavy? (Ducking like never before)

Umm... your loss dude. They have concerts and my favorite, "Sessions" all for free. The James Taylor Sessions is fantastic. The Cheap Trick is so so.

I have nothing to do with AOL, never used their service before, but the walls have come down and they have a great music department.

Here is every band that played Live 8 at your fingertips, On Demand:
