Just a quick gathering of BBS opinion....where do y'all like to go to buy a pair of cowboy boots? I'm not talking custom made Palace Boot shop diamond encrusted $10,000 boots....I'm talking about regular old leather or snakeskin/antelope skin, etc. in the $150-$300 range. I have had success at Cavenders and Boot Town....just wondering if anyone knew of any other places they have had success at. Has anyone ever shopped for boots at the feed store/clothing places way out 290 near Hempstead? My friend who is coming in town this weekend has expressed interest in picking up a pair of boots. Thanks!

Try ACADEMY, maybe? I've seen some in there... but I don't know which ones exactly you're looking for. Did you try the low-income-targeted FLEA MARKETS? :D

Actually, for someone from out of town, I think Cavender's or Boot Town would be ideal. After all, we're used to them, but they'll seem outrageous to someone who isn't from here.

I second this. I have a pair of Justins I got at Boot Town probably 11-12 years ago for about $100-$150. I love 'em.

A good pair of broken-in boots is comfortable, and they'll last forever.
