Once again I learned about this atrocity this morning...via the clutch bbs. Yet another reason why I check the board before I check my email. thanks for the early heads up Miguel.

You know that you're lower than pond scum when the IRA condems the attacks. I will never understand how terrorists think. My idea of punishment for these guys would be to beat the crap out of them until they are barely alive, fix 'em up and send them to their cell. Then leave a leangth of rope in there room with a metal hoop attached to the celing in their cell so everynight they can decide if they want to see the next day.

Not 100% sure on the acronym, but I think it stands for Irish Republican Army or something like that. But yes, they are Irish.

In Ireland they call them the provos - the Provisional Irish Republican Army. There was a split many years back and the "true IRA" has basically withered down to next to nothing.

I can't help saying it again: invading Iraq was a stupid stupid idea. But since nothing we could do to turn back the time, just send more troops to secure Iraq as quick as possible so we can focus on al-Qaida and OBL once again.

Al-Qaida and OBL are the No.1 priority! If you don't learn the lesson, you gonna fall again.

If I remember my Irish rebel tunes the Provos were IRA militia as opposed to regular IRA. They were sort of like the Minutemen. As far as the true IRA its still around but has largely become political through Sinn Fein. There still is a splinter group called "The Real IRA" that hasn't eschewed violence.
