The show I was thinking about earlier was called HOT FUDGE.

It featured Larry & Seymour, and Glen Denver. :D

If you were in 8th grade when those shows were on I'm really going to date myself because I loved those as an undergrad. Some friends and I would get together on afternoons when we didn't have class and watch. Eek the Cat and The Tick IMO are some of the greatest cartoons ever.

Of course being an undergrad at Berkeley, and all that entails, might've had something to do with that.

As a kid I can't recall having any particular favorites. I liked Battle of the Planets and enjoyed watching Bugs Bunny with my dad. For live action I liked Battlestar Galatica and Buck Rodgers, probably explains my nerdiness.

I loved Warner Brothers, Tom and Jerry, Heckle and Jeckle and the Scooby Doo cartoon shows. Loved the Munsters, Bewitched and the Beverly Hillbillys (I defy you to find a better show to smoke pot to!), as well. Grew to really love WKRP, MASH, Dick van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, Taxi and the Bob Newhart show in syndication.

Here were my favorite shows as a kid that I watched when they actually were in production:

    1) Happy Days. My friend Gary quit his baseball team because it interfered with Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley night. I had much the same love. I wish my mom would have kept my "Fonzie for President, 1976" shirt...ayyyyyyyyyy.
    2) Carol Burnett and Friends- this one still holds up.
    3) Good Times- The "Damn, Damn, Damn" epsiode is iconic.
    4) Real People- this was sort of like "That's Incredible" with the kid that was in "A Christmas Story" and a few others (some guy named Skip and I believe Fred Willard...but I may be totally wrong about that).
    5) The Donny and Marie Show- I loved that show...I was a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll and a whole lot dorky.
    6) Sonny and Cher- the golden age of variety shows (and sequins)
    7) Hee Haw- Salude!
    8) Dallas- obesessed with this show...our dog is named Miss Ellie.
    9) St. Elsewhere- for some reason I watched the hell out of this when it was on in the 80's.
    10) Voyager- this was a show on NBC in the early 80's that was sort of like Quantum Leap..it was about time travel and the lead actor accidentally killed himself on the set of the show. I was bummed when it was off the air.

If someone starts a thread about movies from childhood all I have to say are two words: "Philo Beddoe."

Glad you mentioned game shows...a whole 'nother category of love! I was a Tic Tac Dough and The Joker's Wild man (kid). I wish they had the game show network here in New Zealand.

You weren't the only one confusing these shows. THIS was the show that had Uncle Nasty.
