I doubt anyone here knows who Fr. Toye was, but I just wanted to make a memorial post for him. Fr. Toye was the Freshman English Teacher at Strake Jesuit since the early 80s. I had him for my second semester of Freshman year, and he had a profound impact on my life. Until this day, I can still diagram sentences and punctuate with authority. He has been synonymous with Freshman English at SJ for many years, and has taught generations of students. He died last week, while visiting his sister. It is the end of an era, and the sad passing of a Strake Jesuit Legend. [This message has been edited by Vengeance (edited March 26, 2001).]
Fr. Toye: fundamentals of grammer. I still remember his class even today, and it has been almost 6 years from when I took his class. I can still frickin diagram sentences too. Thanks to him, I'm now very punctual.
