    Man . .. major movements

I think Pitino will do well at Louisville
the program has a bit of a rep and he has
a bit of a rep so they should be able to get
    some decent talent.

as for knight . . . .he has a rep
and Tech is in Lubbock . . . Hard Sell
    for Talent.

I went to Tech for 5 glorious years of debachery and some studying. I was there when we had our 1 good season going 30-2 and losing to G-town's Allen Iverson and Othella Harrington in the Sweet 16.

First off I would like to say that Gerald Meyers is a complete moron IMO. Need proof?

My pops went to Tech in the early 70's. For the 4 years he attended, there was a basketball player with the exact same name as him. Every week or so Meyers would call my dad (who obviously was not on the basketball team) and say something to the effect of "Steve we need you to come into practice 30 minutes early". My dad would reply by saying "Coach.....you have the wrong Steve". Ok honest enough mistake right? Well for 4 years my dad had to tell head coach Gerald Meyers that he had the wrong Steve. I dont know if you can get more dumb than that......

Im really 50/50 on this deal.
    1. He will make us a winning team (assuming we can get more recruits)
    2. We will get more national coverage
    3. He will put more seats in the stands

    However....
    1. He has no respect for players
    2. He is a freakin walking time bomb
    3. He has no ethics whatsoever

I guess its a win at all costs and money driven move.

Whose to say he makes Tech any good?

His latest Indiana teams were mediocre and didn't have much talent. And that was recruiting people to the Indiana University Mens Baasketball Team, which is the biggest thing in Indiana.

Now he's supposed to recruit to Texas Tech? and Lubbock? Not gonna happen. I say he hangs on for a few years and beats out Dean Smith's record for most wins, and retires quietly.

Knight will go "The Shining" in Lubbock. Get ready for some good stories...er, or bad however you look at it. But anyhow, Tech does and will have talent...Knight will just be like "Heeeeeeres Johnny". Should be fun!

If Knight signs with Tech, they will get some talent.

Apparently, several professors and school authorities have signed a petition to keep Knight out of Lubbock. They are supposed to all meet with the school's highest officials and their pleas will be heard.

Then, like Dale Hansen said, "They'll listen, then they'll hire Bobby Knight."
