Damn, I'll take Dirk, then. I don't want any guy who drives it harder to my hole and steals my balls.

And he's also better than Ginobili.

Dirk's a better player, but I'd rather have Manu.

Manu got shafted last night! He should have been the MVP, not Tim the choke artist. If it where not for Manu constantly driving it to Detroits hole all night long, the Spurs are toast! But how sweet it is ... my cousin Manu has 2 NBA Championship rings, 3 if you count the Olimpics. Not so shaby for a skinny white long nosed Argie. How many does Dirk have? Nuf said!

It seems like everytime Ginobili drives to the hole, it's as a result of a screen. Am I the only one to notice this?

    Manu get my vote.

If Manu were in the Dallas, he would be the best player in his team

    2005 Playoffs...

    PPG: Nowitski 23.7 / Ginobili 20.8

    Rebs/G: Nowitski 10.1 / Ginobili 5.8

    Steals/G: Nowitski 1.38 / Ginobili 1.22

    Assists/G: Nowitski 3.3 / Ginobili 4.2

A 7'0" big with transition ball handling skills who is the focal point of opponents' half-court defense including double teams versus a 6'7" role player on a team with Tim Duncan...why is this even a discussion?

Some of you Manu-lovers need to see what Dirk's Mavs did to the Spurs when Duncan wasn't around....

i f@#king can't stand nowitski but this isn't even close. dirk is EASILY the better player.

manu is a great second option but he couldn't lead a team to 40 wins let alone 58.

    Not even close.....

Not only is Dirk the younger and better player, he's easily the candidate more suited to build a franchise around and carry a team.

Dirk is clearly better right now. We must put personal feelings about Dirk aside and see the obvious. In a couple of years the answer may change. Manu stepped up his game in the playoffs, and if he continues the trend all next season, then this discussion may be worth having. This is a dumb thread that exists only because the Spurs won on Thursday.

This reminds me of the debate people had about Carmelo and LeBron in the heat of the moment after Syracuse won the NCAA title. "Carmelo has won at a higher level", etc, blah blah blah.

Thanks for the stats Gater! Now all the Dallas Mavericks weiner schnitzel lovers on this forum can see that Manu is the better player. Manu has better assists, steals and PPG are even, and as far as rebounds go, thats not little Manus job, thats Nazis & Timmys job. Manus stats are about even with Dirks, not bad for a guy yall consider second fidle to Duncan. Anyone who differs must be high smoking a Cuban Cigar.

P.S. Now some of you Manu haters need to see what his Spurs did to the Rockets when he WAS around last year!

This is not even a question. Dirk is the second best PF in the league and Manu bearly cracks the top 10 in SG's.
