don't know if it was mentioned..but there's a Ninfa's underneath Chase Tower...along with La Madeline, which I could do without.
i'd like to see more James Coney Islands downtown. There's only one (street level at Foley's). I would think they could do well in the Park Shops and/or in the tunnels.
Way back when bump. I just started working downtown a week ago and have been spending my mandatory lunch hour just wandering through the tunnel system looking for restaurants. It's been fun but I can never choose. Any suggestions?
If Poblano's is still there in the tunnels try that out for Mexican food. It's near the Whataburger that's down there and I think there's a Potbelly sandwich close by it as well. Its at the part of the tunnel that goes towards where the old Foley's was downtown.
There's some good food at the Houston center food court too. I see nba players there at least once a month. Saw KD, Russ, and Reggie Jackson last time they played in town. Rockets coaching staff like every other day. they love that chick fil a
Mayuri Indian restaurant located next to Prince's Burgers and Ragin Cajun. They just opened about a month or two ago, and I've completely fell in love with Indian food because of this place.
It's under the Houston center. Not that great as others have said. I never go there for the restaurants. When I worked downtown, I walked to the Houston center and went to the food court on the 4th(?) floor and ate there. The tunnels are okay, they have a Whataburger there, that's pretty nice.
I saw Jack sikma a few years ago at potbelly. I see rocket staff members there all the time. I eat at salata, but it's hard justifying paying ten bucks for lettuce. Poblano expanded.
Not surprised. They were always crowded during lunch and had that open space right next to them on the opposite side of Whataburger. Decent Tex-Mex food for downtown and the tunnels.
