-This is the most players they've brought in.
    -Really even draft class.
-"Getting some at 24 to help us immediately is gonna be rare."
-Has seen Chris Taft a number of times. Kind of dodged his opinion of Simien, imo.

-"I've gotten some maybes, and 'call me on draft days' from several people, but nothing yet" (regarding 2nd round picks). Thinks it's something that will happen late draft day.

    On Diogu, Warrick, and Villanueva
"Warrick and who?" (hehehe, good one CD)
"2 of them were rated so high and we couldn't get them in." (I think we worked out Diogu?)

man...after listening to how CD commented on Simien (and taking a PF in general), it seems like we're almost certain to take a guard unless someone they don't think will drop drops. (when asked he was like..well...ummm...juwan howard might get injured, so i guess we could use some depth there..but also at the 1 and 2 positions)

    thanks NIKE.

i caught the part where he said there are about 4 or 5 guys that they would be happy with. that seemed like a dodge. if he didn't say what he thought of simien then it seems like he just doesn't want people ot find out how good he really is.

Don't expect him to drop any hints the night before draft day. It could just be a smokescreen.

I think immediately after mentioning that it would be hard to get an impact player at 24, Dawson also said that historically guards are ready to help a team faster than big men are. Just another little nugget...

dodge rhymes with hodge. There you have it. Julius Hodge wearing #2 for your Houston Rockets.

Based on people's comments, it sounds like we're interested in Simien. Everything else, including the interest in guards, sounds like a smokescreen. I do believe that we might be interested in getting a second-rounder however.

that's what I think. the PF position is too important for JVG to trust it with a rookie. and no one will trade us a good, young, bigman for wesley and change. our PF WILL come through free agency.

we will pick an athletic shooter.

CD said there are about 5 guys he would be happy to get. some mocks have diogu falling to us. he could be on the list. garcia, hodge, and maybe simien are there also. the truth is, who the hell knows?

As long as we can get a good PF like Swift or SAR, then I'd be fine with that.

Since it seems we are going to take a swingman, here's my order:

    1. Francisco Garcia- Should be able to help out immediately.
    2. Julius Hodge- Look above.
    3. Kennedy Winston- Good overall game, great mid-range jumper.

Im thinking Francisco Garcia or Kennedy Winston. Swing guys who can shoot and have the best chance to contribute immedietely.

garcia will probably be gone. indiana is very interested at #17 and a bunch of teams in between them and us, so he's probably not an option. jarrett jack would be a great pick up at PG but he'll probably be gone too. i think a PF would be the best pick for us unless we have a beat on PF in free agency who's better.

I want hodge, seems like a very smar player with good court vision, and he's very long. Could play the SG and let T-mac stay at SF.

I see Hodge becoming the next Bruce Bowen. He definitley has the body and length to be a pest on a defense and if he were to commit himself to become a stopper, I think it'd be smart to go ahead and take him at 24 if he's still there

for some reason i have this feeling that we'll get both a pg and a pf on draft day. while one will be someone we draft the other will occur through a trade of some sorts. I rather trade for a pg and draft a pf personally cuz i dont want a unexperienced kid trying to run the point too much on the team, but we'll see cd usually does well on draft days
