What a wuss. You would think a guy that was born and raised in Rochester, NY would be tougher. They get like 90' of snow a year up there, I was there during the blizzard of 1977-8, it looked like this picture taken in Buffalo in 1978.

Have you not been to the tri-state area, los angeles or chicago? they have the worst traffic in the united states. a 30 min drive would have 1 n a half hours! tri-state area is worse, on my way from philly to nyc which is a hour n a half drive took me 5 hours! its ridiculous, no doubt houston has traffic it is the 4th largest city, but its not the worst.

And the weather yes it is humid, but unless you live in San Diego, your gonna have to deal with some bad weather, such a humidity here, snow or heavy wind in other places.

My thought exactly. I think the whole point of this thread was to try and get edc to whine about JVG.

what doesnt kill you will only make you stronger. the rockets should work out and do practices outside in the summer heat, so then when they actually get to play in the air conditioning, they will destroy everyone!!!

That's actually one of the potential deal breakers in trying to convince my wife to move down to Texas. The humidity and heat are almost unbearable for her. I managed to convince her that central Texas isn't as bad, but she's starting to waver again.

    :(

I've been to both, but Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City beat them. It was 95+ degrees in December and that is normal. Manila and Singapore summers are maybe a little more humid than here. The basic difference between Southeast Asia and Houston is there is no Winter, as we know it. It stays hot year round with 80-85 degrees being the "cool season".

On traffic, I've told Houstonians for years they shouldn't complain about traffic and construction. Chicago, D.C. (actually Virginia), New York, LA are worse by a mile. The construction here is a pain, but at least you can always see the point of it. In areas around D.C., they wait 10 years too late to start construction and this magnifies the problem. Chicago, NY & LA don't even deserve comment. The traffic/construction in those cities will make you love the SW Freeway.
