Does anybody here do video editing on your pc? What kind of equipment do you have? For example, software, video card, etc. I'm thinking of digitzing some old videos for my parents, and some videos of trips I took in the past. I'm looking to place these onto a CD in VCD format. If I get access to NBA League Pass in the near future, this ought to also be one hell of a way to keep old Rockets games for "future reference". I'd rather keep CD's than VCR tapes... they're so much easier to manage that way. So does anybody out there do this stuff? ------------------ "Yes, you can touch me." -- Rocketman95 showing he's not only a liberal, but he's pretty liberal with his body... speak to davo, he does that stuff real well epsecially rocket games ------------------ "Repression never did me any harm (I finally ceased to include "stop masturbating" as one of my guilt ridden New Year's resolutions, but that's a different topic)." Video editing works buch better on a Mac. I have used Adobe Premiere it is cool ------------------ ~John~ If you make it idiot proof, they will make a better idiot.
Adobe Premier and Final Cut Pro are awesome. I love Mac's little iMovie for very simple editing. It is great! ------------------ "Oh, God. I wish I was a loofa."
hey jeff have you seen those new titaniums? My friend got one about two weeks ago they are sweat. ------------------ ~John~ If you make it idiot proof, they will make a better idiot.
Those look REALLY cool. I have an iMac Special Edition DV with a 500mhz G3 and it simply rocks. I bought it last year and the first thing I did on it was use a digital video camera and iMovie to edit the animated arena video for the campaign. I took a 4 minute video with HORRIBLE music and voiceover and turned it into a 45 second one with cool music. If you haven't seen it, check it out here. It is in Quicktime format. The video really isn't that impressive. What is impressive is that iMovie was so easy, I did that in about 30 minutes the first time I had EVER used it. Totally cool! Personally, I can't wait to get my hands on OSX for that iTunes thing. Rip songs from my CD's and burn them for compilation CD's to listen to on the road. Awesome! ------------------ "Oh, God. I wish I was a loofa."
You can do that now, can't you? Or is there something else special about it? ------------------ "Yes, you can touch me." -- Rocketman95 showing he's not only a liberal, but he's pretty liberal with his body... I don't make this stuff up folks, they really say it...
iTunes is really cool because it makes it so simple. It is intergrated into the OS. You can take your mp3 playlist and it will export them to CDs for you if you want. Hey Jeff, You can get OSX now in pretty stable versions, I think. Note: I am not a mac user, just a fan. ------------------ ~John~ If you make it idiot proof, they will make a better idiot.
I have to agree with Jeff... iMovie is the ****... If you are looking to edit video/audio a Mac is the way to go. Jeff- I'm not sure what version you used, but the version on the G4's is much better than the G3 version... But you probably already knew that...
