With the new CBA have a minor league and players in their first two years being NDBL eligable will the Rocekts now broaden their horizon and look at Highschoolers & Youngsters from overseas?

These guys are projected as late first rounders:

Ersan Ilyasova
Andray Blatche
Andrew Bynum
Monta Ellis

Blatche is interesting as he could be our future PF (KG light).

I still think they will go with more proven/experienced player though but this CBA wrinkle has to have the Rockets rethinking the draft.

I would only take Blatche out of that group. Ellis' stock has dropped like hell, he had one of the worst workouts:

Stock Plummets to Hell:

Monta Ellis: 0 reps, 31.5" vertical, 12.13 agility, 3.31 sprint

Judging by Ellis' horrible combine results, one would think that he is a boy among men trying to play in the NBA... oh wait he is. His 0 reps of 185 was not surprising considering his twig-like physique, but his mediocre vertical and atrocious agility was. His 12.13 agility score (worse than Bogut, Diogu, etc.) is puzzling to say the least. How could a guard who looked so quick and explosive against high school competition have such a deplorable agility time? He still has a ways to go if he wants to play point guard in the NBA and considering his disappointing athleticism for a guard, he might be too big of a project to take in the first round.

Here is another project that remained in the draft - 18 year old Martynas Andriuskevicius. This guy was projected top 10 until recently when they said he still wasn't ready and I think he has a buyout.

Another factor to be considered is the undrafted high schoolers. Many of them have true talent but just went for the brass ring too early. I wonder which potential players, if any, we may invite to summer league and/or camp and who will actually come.
