give it a polygraph when it comes out, you know, just to say you did. I'd like to know more about the crying thing. Are they telling the truth like everyone thinks, or is just a big lie to get more breast.
Congratulations to you!! I know you and your wife are very excited with your careers starting off and everything, but let me tell you that there is NO joy in the world greater than this. I'm sure you realize this already. If not, come February, you will While it is true that your nights of sleeping will soon be gone and you will get a new load of responsibility, it is well worth it. Ask any father on this board. I'll bet all my marbles that no one would trade it for anything. I'm very happy for you and may God Bless you and yours.
Wait until you see your baby in an ultrasound for the first time, or feel him/her kick your wife's belly. You will be so excited, you will almost cry. Having a baby is coolest thing you will ever experience.
My wife is due with our first in early October. Even though she is really showing now, I don't think the gravity of it all has really hit either of us. We've got a name (Casey Levi). The furniture is ordered and the room painted (even though I thoroughly managed to destroy the carpet). I still can't seem to grasp what responsibility really is when it comes to having a child. Then again, I'm not sure anyone is truly ready for their first. Either way, congrats haven!
GASP! We have 2! . Congratulations to you guys, that's really cool. Leroy, any ideas of names? I am assuming these aren't the first ClutchCity (Fans, if your picky) Babies, but that's really cool. Go ClutchFans Babies! WOO!
Thanks, everyone. It's strange. I was 19 when I first logged on to this board, and some of you have been here all the time. I've been here through college, law school, and now having a child. We're planning on having more children, eventually. Twins also run in her family (a couple of pairs at every generation), so we might have more than 1 right now. I know about the risk of miscarriage before 12 weeks - and it's particularly bad in her family - her mother miscarried twice, and her sister twice as well. RM95: I've got a clerkship w/ a fed judge in Beaumont for 2 years, before we move up to Boston to take on our (hopefully) permanent jobs.
a hearty congratulations from the sim league brotherhood sir haven of dominance. May you and your offspring prevail over the rest of the scum just like the OOTP Astros.
WOw, I totally got this wrong. For a minute I thought Isabel was stating HER wife was pregnant, and it made me think of her why men are jerks threads....or was that Meg? Her name was visible because she was the last poster in here, and I mis-read it and thought she started this thread. Congrats Haven.
No, I'm not pregnant, nor is my wife. Some men are certainly jerks, but I refuse to believe that they all are (please don't prove me wrong), and it's not really my natural orientation to turn to... say, meggoleggo, even though I know everyone wants pictures of that. Congratulations to those who are ready to welcome the next generation into their families!
That's great haven... congratulations. Those are cool names you've picked out. Now, you need to jump the gun on nicknames. Every name will ultimately get shortened to one (maybe two) syllables and Sabastian isn't an easy one (Hannah might survive, though). Some friends of mine named their daughter Genoa (Jen-Noah) and they preempted the obvious "Jen" nick and called her Noah, which I think is cool. Anyway, I'm sure a BBS full of friends will be praying for a full-term and safe delivery. Cheers. Oh, and congrats to you too leroy. Casey Levi is an interesting name, is that a girl?
