I was just wonderin if any of yall had ever been out to this bar. It is off Westheimer and has been my hangout since moving to H-town. It is a really cool little sports bar with great italian food and a lot of cool people that go there. If any one ever hangs out on that side of town I highly recommend it.
Where on Westheimer is it? I've just recently moved near Westheimer but on on the west side of town (Westheimer and Kirkwood.) I'm still looking for a good bar over here thats a good spot to have a drink after work or something. There is a place I drove by called Danny's Sports Bar that I'm gonna check out at some point.
Probably about a quarter to half mile toward downtown after Gessner. It is a great place, you should come in. Good pool players all the time and a lot of regulars (like me) to get to know, also quite a few nice looking women frequent it.
That's not far from me at all, maybe a 10 minute drive. I'll have to stop by one night. I'm married though, so the wife would probably be with me. The good thing is she likes sports and beer almost as much as me.
Forgot you moved right next to me since i live right off of Westhiemer and Kirkwood as well...definently need to hit up a spot one day and relax...away from the normal scene lol
I'm not to far from you since I moved near Briar Park and the Beltway. I've been looking for a good place to have a drink also on this side of town.
Harrisment, The best looking women on that side of town are at The Derrick Tavern @ Eldridge & Enclave. It's a really nice bar that caters to the Energy Corridor crowd. The Ashford Pub is a real (Irsh owned & run) pub at Dairy Ashford & Perthshire.
I think it's time for a westside get together. I'm out here too now Stack, which is why I haven't been into Live in a while. I like Nick's Place. Anyone ever been to Bull and Bear at Westheimer between Kirkwood and Dairy Ashford next to Specs?
I've been to Nick's place many times. It's probably my favorite bar in that area. Lots of TVs, nice folks, food is good too. Parking is a b**** when it's full though.
Nick's Place is great. My friend and I used to hang out at Nick's all the time. I remember back when Nick opened the place with an ice house liquor license; no food or hard liquor. Heck I remember being in the place when it was called the Big O. The first time in there Nick sat and talked to my friend and I most of the night. That was long before he became a married man and a daddy. The place really took off. Many memories hanging out there watching Rocket road games during the 95 playoffs. I was sitting at Nick's during Game 5 and 7 of the PHX series; ah the kiss of death. And I was there for Game One against Orlando in the Finals. Saw Rudy in there one night a couple of years later. I haven't stopped by in over a year, but the pizza was still good last time I was there.
Yeah man I remember you saying you were on this side of town but didn't realize it was that close. To be exact I live in the April Village subdivision, on Woodland Park Dr in between Briar Forest and Westheimer. You still out of town?
My best friend has been going there or to Cornbread's Sports Bar nearly every day since moving to the west side about a year ago. He's drug me to Nick's a couple of times, and it's good. The waitresses/bar are quick, and their pizza is really good. Plus they have an internet jukebox, which is the greatest invention ever.
Nick's is a good spot. I would say it's my preference on the west side of town. Still prefer Live, though. Did you know they have a train that runs outside the front door?????
