Would you trade Kandiman for our Ist+expiring contrcts say spoon. He is not great but better than any bigman that will be available. He has the size and athelitism to guard long 4s and would be a good backup for Yao. That will keep Mutombo fresh for the play offs. I thinks wolves would be interested as well as they have to get younger and are definitely going to tweak their roster. Thoughts?

Oh, yeah, they'd be interested. We wouldn't, nor should we be interested.

(Look for MO to be a Grizz, tho.)

Wait, what? We're needing another back up for Yao that can keep our main back up fresh for the playoffs? Come on, man.

I'll do that. But I don't think any team wants Spoon becouse of his contract. Olowaokandi will be very useful.

If it was for the LA Clippers version of Kandiman, then I would say yes in a heartbeat.

However, for the T-molves version of Kandiman... No Thanks.

In your proposal, it would be like we are getting a thinner/taller version of weatherspoon, but we would be losing our pick.

Minny would do this, I would hope the Rockets would not consider this.

Did I read this right? Let me open my vile of crack so I can get on the same page this morning.

    There!! Thats much better.

What is everyone's fascination with former Clipper big men who have flopped since getting their big contracts? Don't want Wilcox as he is Lazy and doesn't put forth an effort every night ala Mot and Kandi. Maybe we can get MoT back for our first from the Knicks. He should be doubly desirable since he has now been a Knick and a Clipper.

    Kandi sucks. He's a complete non-factor.

i wouldnt trade spoon straight up for candiman. the guy is a worthless piece of garbage (especially considering he was a #1 pick)

anyway, we already have mutumbo and candi isnt going to guarding any 4's out there.

horrible trade idea. Kandi sucks. The only thing he had going for him when he was a Clip was that weak ass hook shot that he kept taking when he was spoon fed the ball to pad his stats. Backup center is a low priority anyway. With the way the nba is shaping up, we could probly get away with trotting out a decent pf in place of another stiff when Dike moves on.

How many people agreed with me that Kandi is really a bust?

I don't want him here on the Rockets. He played like he doesnt' care most of the time.

What ever gave you the idea that Kandi can guard 4s?

He's a big, plodding center. We already have one of those. Plus, if Kevin Garnett can't get you to play with some heart, no one can.

He wouldn't even be useful in practice. Yao destroys him and/or gets him in foul trouble whenever they're matched up.

Kandi is a totally unappealing player at this point.

Yo, Sanjay...you seriously have to put the crackpipe down. Why don't you think from the other team's standpoint? Kandiman has sucked and has been a bust since entering the NBA. We finally have a pick and you want to give that up? We have no youth on this team except for T-Mac and Yao.

Let's just keep the 24th pick and try our hands at some talented young guys through FA.

Quite possibly the worst trade suggestion I've ever seen on this board, and that's saying something.

How long till the season starts? :(

He averaged 5 and 5 this year. I'm surprised he averaged that much. No way I'd give up a 1st round pick for him.

I do not expect to be a star player but he has got size and can play some defence. Seven foot shot blockers are not grown on the trees. At least he can be used for six hard fouls to keep Yao and Howard out of foule trouble and enable them to be on the court. I think that is better than drafting Bryce Drews, Nachbars, Rohdric Rodes----. And if does not turn out to be a good fit, atleast his expiring contract will have appreciable value at the trade deadline. I think it is a low risk investment and potentially could play high dividends.

Agreed. The Kandiman isn't worth either the 24th pick or Spoon and his expiring contract straight up. This thread shows even the most idiotic suggestions can crop up during the summer doldrums.

Olowakandi is a complete bust. If he is on anyone's roster next year, it will be as an 11-12th man at the veteran minimum. I don't care how tall he is; the man CANNOT PLAY! No offense intended, Sanjaylucknow, but this is ludicrous.
