    Just thought I steal a little of Supermac34 thunder from his G.I. Joe thread, was never a big fan of them growing up. Transformers on the other hand I thought were awesome!

    So who was your favorite character and why?

    Me, it was always Megatron and Starscream, just always loved the backstabbing dynamic

    Skywarp was the best.

    2nd best was Devastator.

    Starscream (Megatron's no.2 man) was always too whiny.

    Megatron was tough and cool, but he only transformed into a pistol. I never understood that.

    I also never understood how the autobots (cars) could even be nearly as tough as the Decepticons (planes). Planes are faster, have more firepower, and can attack from above.

    Decepticons rule.

    When Optimus Prime "died," who was the guy that took over?

    Also, that planet one, from the movie...kicked butt.

    First it was Ultra Magnus, but he couldn't open that crystal thingie. Then Hot Rod got it to open up and became Rodimus Prime.

    Okay... 80's flashback over.

    Octimus Prime was indeed Da Man. But I do have a soft spot for Bumblebee. Don't ask me why I love that stupid little bug, but I do.

    For whatever it's worth, my favorite guy was always Skyfire. He started out as a Decepticon but then switched sides.

    My favorite was Optimus Prime.

    I also liked Bumblebee....had both the toy of him and OP when I was a kid.


    So, whats the deal with OP dying? I thought that when they killed him off they always brought him back because they saved him memory or something.

    Jazz was cool from earlier episodes.

    The coolest looking transformers to me were the insectagons.

    No poll? Definitely starscream for me. As a kid I always wished he would somehow kill off megatron, become leader of the decepticons and make the autobots his slaves.

    BTW. Does anyone else just love the name "Decepticons" for the villians. It's a pretty cool sounding name that also functions as a descriptive allusion. How can you not like the economy of use in that title. No wasted motion, and like I said, it's still a pretty cool name.
