http://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/originals/30days/main.html Is anyone watching this show on FX? It has the guy from the documentary Super Size Me - Morgan Spurlock. Yesterday's episode was the guy living off of minimum wage for 30 days w/ his fiance. It was sad to see....but great show!
I completely forgot to DVR the show last night. Sounds like a very interesting concept. In future episodes, they live as a homosexual, a Muslim, and an old person. I'll have to catch the rerun of last night's episode. On a related note, Rescue Me returns next week!!
Damn, I wanted to watch this but didnt know when it was showing. I'll check the Tivo today to see if they are showing a rerun.
Um, how exactly are they going to do that. I don't think they're going to go all the way. And if they mean living a life of style and panache of the stereotypical homosexual, then that sounds more like a metrosexual.
Since one of the points of this series is to show how other people deal with hardships everyday, I doubt they will go out and play on stereotypes. I'm thinking that you could act homosexual by holding hands with someone of the same sex while walking down the street or by mentioning it in passing during a conversation.
Okay, that makes a lot more sense. For some reason I was only thinking about how they would act instead of how they would be perceived in this "new life".
Great show. Very interesting and made me really have a better appreciation for people living under the poverty line. As far as the show about the homosexuality. The plot is that they take a marine who is completely againist gays and the homosexual lifestyle. They than ask him to live in San Francisco for a month with a homosexual room mate. I am very interested in seeing the episode where they the Christian and asking him to live with the Muslim couple for a month. I think the next episode is where a guy takes steroids for a month (under medical supervision). I have season passed it on TIVO. It is on FX by the way.
***spoilers ahead*** The funny thing is, the point of the show was to prove the inadequacy of minimum wage, but if they had not given up on the free clinic, they would have easily covered, even with the cab and children incidents. I think Morgan has a great sense of humor and is enjoyable to watch, but that girlfriend of his is so whiney and annoying.
Anybody watching this episode. This guy is going to the doctor to feel younger, and the doc is juicing him up with human growth hormone and testosterone. This guy's wife is so freaking annoying. I would wish for death if I was married to that b****.
Great episode. yeah that guy's wife was one mean witch i can't imagine having roid rage and then having her yell at you on top of that
