Hey guys. I wanted to let everybody know about a friend of mine who I believe is an excellent artist. He's become fairly popular and has some works in the US Capitol building, some big private collections, and has done some great stuff. His name is Donny Hickmott and he has a little studio in Old Town Spring called the Walking Horse Studio. If you are ever bored on a weekend, go take a look at his stuff. He keeps his place small, but he has a ton of work...make sure to flip through his print and portfolio books. We've known him for a few years and love to visit his shop and talk to him. He has a story behind every painting and adds a personal touch to everything he creates. His best stuff is his western stuff, I'm not a huge fan of EVERYTHING he does, but its usually the subject I'm not a fan of if I don't like it...not the skill. Go see him and talk to him...he'll tell you all about his road trips he makes on his motorcycle around the country where he gets his ideas from.
