Taking the girl for a little 3 day excursion in July. Staying at the Wyndham Resort. Got a helluva deal on priceline.com. Never been to Miami so I would love some recommendations.... What to do? Where to eat? Nice clubs/bars? Shopping? Is a Key West day trip feasable?

Nikki Beach Club on Sunday afternoon Opium Garden, Crobar, Mynt on Thurs - Sat nites Delano Hotel bar for casual drinks Shopping at Aventura Mall in Bal Harbour (25min drive north of South Beach) Make sure you try the stone crabs, although I think they may be out of season right now and the best restaurant for them (Joe's Stone Crab) is already closed until October.
just my 2cents, but I'm not a fan of Key West.. it's a bunch of pie and cigar shops, reminds me of Traders Village for some reason... Miami Beach is really nice.. I would pass on the Key West and spend the day in Miami... Go to the Padron cigar factory they just built a new one in Little Havana, go see them roll cigars and learn some cool stuff...
Yeah I think we may skip key west. Maybe go to one of the closer keys or something. I just dont want to waste a whole day down there when we only have a few days in miami as it is.
Forget the Keys. It's not worth the time you'd lose doing other things in Miami. Go check out Coconut Grove. It has expensive, beautiful mansions, shopping, and restaurants. It's one of the rich areas in Miami. Alays a cool place is Little Havana. Of course, just go to the beach and check out all the beautiful people. Except the guys. I guess this your 'romantic' gesture?
