There are snakes on campus. I just started summer sessions at the school on Monday. On tuesday my friend encountered 2 snakes. Apparently he saw a snake curled up on a lake which has plenty of rocks, while he was going to tell the security guy he saw a smaller little green snake which was probably a grassnake by the door. Anyways today I noticed something was either floating or swimming at the lake, and I could swear it was probably the snake's head. If anyone is curious to know which campus it is. Its Cy-Fair college of nhmccd. Should the school be notified and should it be reported? the security guy said theres a lot of animals on campus.
I'm thinking that in Houston, there isn't much you can do about a few snakes here and there. Anyways, they help keep the pest population down.
There was a Copperhead in my backyard the other day. It's was about a foot and a half long. It's been a long time since I screamed liked that. Those things scare me.
Speaking of snake...During the time I was in junior high school, me and a couple of friends went garder snake hunting in a corry down the street. We would filled this 20 gallon aqaurium with the live snakes and when we took it back to my friends house, his mom got pissed and poor boiling water into the aqauirium and killed all of the snakes!
What do you want to do...have them kill all the snakes on campus? Just don't bother them and they won't bother you.
when killing a snake never look it in the eyes as you will be photographed as the target of a snakes revenge.
There was a one-eyed spitting trouser snake in our bed a few nights ago. Unfortunately, when my wife saw it, she said, "Ak! Get that thing away from me!" At least she didn't try smashing it with a shovel, though. It's always crappy when she does that. (EDIT: As I think about it, I'm really disappointed in the rest of you BBS'ers for not posting something like this already. You're slipping, guys)
Snakes? Thats nothing. The UH main campus is infested with squirrels that beg for food. They will follow you and even come up to you like a dog if you have anything.
Yes, use the button on the top right and clutch & jeff will immediately dispatch a Alpha-class CF.NET LGSCU (little green snake containment unit).
i killed some snakes before in florida... that was fun, used a shovel and wacked it on it's head multiple times.
