Short-story: Sweet, extremely friendly, extremely playful kitten for adoption. Long-story: My wife is the master of randomly finding at needs cats. This one showed up at the stables where she rides horses. Some lady stopped by who had no affiliation at all to the barn, said a kitten ended up in her front yard, she couldn't take care of it, so she just left it at the barn, at which point it immediately began running in the street. My wife brought it home. We already have too many. This kitten is about 5-6 weeks old. She is peanut butter and chocolate (brown and black). We have named her Reece for now (as in Reeses Pieces). We took her to the vet and she's had all of her shots that she could get at her age. She did have on issue with her left eye. She had an open infection above her eye when we found her. We immediately took her to the vet and it was revealed she had a small/microscopic-ish worm try and make a home in the infection. This was removed and the infection is closing. Her left eye still looks a littel droopy, but it is cute and she definitely has no problems seeing (or playing). Looking for a loving home and caring owner. She definitely seems to be an inside cat to me. She would probably get along well with (and enjoy) a household with other cats, but not a necessity. Hopefully one of my BBS brethren can fulfill these basic requirements. Please respond. Thanks!
Just an idea, but last year we found a stray kitten. We took a picture of it and e-mailed it to our friends/co-workers/family. We told them to please forward it on. By the end of the day we had a home for the kitten. I think the picture of the kitten is what sold them on it. Anyways just an idea.
Good luck on finding a taker. I would recommend my mom-in-law, but she already has 12 cats on her land. Plus she lives in OK. Is she potty trained? Does she prefer the indoors or outdoors?
This usually works, but as I mentioned before...this isn't the first stray we've found. We've been able to adopt a few that way, but lately no luck. My mother-in-law has actually kept the last 2 we found. It would be nice to find a home on here, but it isn't the only thing I'm doing to try and get this kitten adopted. She's potty trained, and would prefer the indoors.
Post a pic. I need my heartstrings tugged. Though my dog would devour a 6 week old cat in about 4 seconds.
If you can send pics, I have a list of people who regularly get emails for homeless pets. They forward them out to tons of people. We have a nearly 100% adoption rate. Send me a pics with an email descirbing the kitten and I'll send them out to my list. By the way, if anyone wants to be on the list, drop me an email - jbalke@tworoadsmedia.com. We ONLY send out pet emails and all we ask is that you forward them to friends, family, co-workers, etc. Thanks!
Thanks Jeff, etc. I'll get a pic as soon as possible, send you an email, etc. and get on that list myself.
