ESPN is reporting that the Cowboys just waived Troy Aikman. Apparently Jerry Jones still has some common sense left after all.

Truly a sad day for all of us Cowboy fans. I have followed the Boys since i was very little and followed Staubach & Landry.
Troy is a class act, but it was a business decision.

Good news is Dexter Coakley was resigned.

Now go and sign Flutie, I hate Dilfer and don't want Banks either.

The guy was good in his prime. Now, he should just be marked "Fragile" and go elsewhere as a backup OR retire. Why anyone wants to suffer a possible lifetime of misery from re-occurring concussions is beyond me? He should think of his family first but, of course, the love of the game prevails.

he was already dumber than an ice cube....those constant concussions surely didn't help.

Doug Flutie just might be a good fit with the crackwagon. They need someone squeaky clean.

Doug Flutie is a great idea. He's exactly what the Cowboy's need - an old guy at the end of his career that's gonna muck up the salary cap position even worse.

What's Randall's status? Is he coming back for another year?

I fully expect to see Aikman playing somewhere this season. San Diego is a possibility (Norv is out there).
