If the parent has taken reasonable precautions to keep the firearms out of the hands of the kids, then no, I don't think they should be charged. If it's your gun... sure, why not. If your kid takes the keys to the car and raises hell you end up paying for it. If your kid destroys someone else's property you end up paying for it. May as well punish the parents on something a bit more important. ------------------ git it tag, git it!

Its not blaming the parent for the child's actions. Its holding them responsible for their own fault in failure to properly supervise and educate their own kid.
