We'll forgive you this once. :) That smells like the same trade JVG was talking, maybe? Say, Swift & Wells for whoever we can scrape together in people and expirations.

West would like to trade Bonzi

Would West deal with a team in his own division? Outside of a salary dump, I don't see this happening for the Rockets. What positions are Memphis looking to fill? 1?

He wouldn't get along with Sura, Barry, Bowen, or Padgett.

He fits the bill on some of our needs but he is not a good outside shooter. I also don't see Memphis trading with us.

Stay away from headcases. I love Wells' game. Him and Artest are the same type of player on and off the court. Not worth the risk. Too bad they can't transplant another brain into his body.

Forget Mike Miller. Why would Memphis get rid of him? I read somewhere he is definitely not available.

I also want to add that according to West, 3 teams have contacted the Grizzlies about Bonzi and still would trade for him if the Grizz kept the 8M team option on him this year. So 3 teams are willing to trade for an 8M Bonzi Wells. Wonder who they are?
And the Grizz arent going to trade Bonzi for expiring contracts. if they wanted to do that they would just not apply Bonzi's team option and let him walk. So they want something in return or want to dump a contract with him in a move.

    1. Stro is ok because he is not a locker room cancer.

    2. Bonzi will destroy your team slowly but surely. Remember, he did not respect our coaches so I don't JVG will get a pass. God forbid he take Bonzi out when he is 'feeling it'. That will result in a bench cursing.

    3. Watson is just not good at running the offense. His jumper is weak. His decision making is questionable. In fact, there would be no happier site than to see Earl Watson starting for the Rockets.

Fratello, Hubie, and Van Gundy are tight, and you KNOW they talk.

There is no doubt that Van Gundy has been advised on Bonzi, definately.

According to the following article, Rockets are trying to use Wesley + Sura + draft to get Bonzi Wells + draft. The article claims that this information originally came from New York Post NBA Columnist Peter Vecsey.

I actually think that came from a BB poster on the RealGM board that made up that trade and then credited it from the NY Post. And now Soho is scraping that made up trade? LOL

But, getting back to the premise of the deal.....
The Grizz are trying to cut down their roster so I dont see them moving Bonzi to them take on two more players. Where are they going to all play?

With that said though, I know Bonzi is kind of a headcase, but he fits the description of trying to get a young, atheltic swingman to pair with Tmac and someone that could be a legit 3rd scorer on this team. Clearly Bonzi is a quality offensive player, but how is his defense? Can he be a decent defensive player for us at the 2?

If West is so good, why does Grizz need to rebuild? By the way, why would other GM be eager to make trade with West and let themselve look like idiot?

I think Grizz currently is not at a position to considert this issue. Spurs or Rox will be the division leader in next several years. Gizzles'd better figure out how to grab a postseason position from GS, Clippers and Lakers.
