Out of curiosity, you don't consider it dangerous to yourself - or more importantly, others - to just say '**** it' to the speed limits or the speed of the traffic around you?
Yeah, I mentioned that earlier in the thread. Year after year, either Sweden or Britain is ranked as having the safest driving in the world. My dad always used to tell me you can pass a cop going 80 in a 70 speed limit zone. Speed doesn't kill. Incompetence does. I remember one time over there someone was going 60 in the fast lane of the motorway, and he wouldn't move over. It caused such a huge problem for everyone behind, and was the only time I ever felt unsafe on the road over there.
No, because I'm careful when I speed. I pay close attention to those around me and drive as defensively as possible. I swerve through traffic carefully, not with reckloss abandon. I just feel others would feel more comfortable (based on tons of conversations I've had in the past) if people who speed weren't forced to swerve through traffic b/c some people feel it is their duty to "police the roads" and enforce the speed limit by not yielding to faster traffic.
I love boxing in slow cars in the left lane if they don't yield for me. X Me Y I move to the right and go their speed. The Truck Y barrels down tailgating Old Man X. I'm LMAO.
And here I thought the dumbasses doing that were just too stupid to realize what assholes they're being. Apparently its intentional. When this happens I'm generally swearing at "Me" not car "X"...
It makes sense to be mad at Me when X is not obeying the traffic law. The left lane is for passing only. Anyone who sits in the passing lane and doesn't yield to traffic (i.e. Me), forcing Me to have to change lanes, deserves to get blocked in and wet their pants. Me will change lanes to go around X. Mr. Truck driver Y won't
