Check Coldstone Creameries. I've heard great things from investors in that group and their support for franchises.

It's not a franchise, but swingtrading it in the BLUE CHIPS over the second half should bear fruit.

wireless toyz is another option you could look at.

if you contact the houston area representative, tell him Ben Chot sent you.

i'm a marble slab devotee...but i think coldstone is pretty good. but from what i've seen, coldstone is a cash cow.

or buy a car wash. probably more expensive...the big investement is the land. but you'll make your money back in a year...and be turning money over and over for years to come.

I agree, I had heard so many great things about them and then went and tried it over in Memphis and it wasn't the greatest, I mean I would've rather had Bryer's from Kroger than spend $5 on that 4 ozs of ice cream.

I have had a tough time finding a better ice cream than Shake's.

They are VERY popular in Austin. In Texas, Jimmy John's is only in Austin and Dallas, not Houston...yet.

Look into one of the pretzel shops in the malls (Auntie Ann's I think is one name). Pretty small investment and decent returns I've heard (food cost is liek 15% vs. teh traditional 30% at a lot of places, but not sur ehow much volume here is).

    Just an idea.

Open a Freebird's in North Houston...near willowbrook or the woodlands (probably better in the woodlands since there aren't many taqueria's up there). I'd personally drive 20 minutes for freebirds.
