Frankly the Houston Aeros have been a very good Hockey team over the last couple of years. They even won a turner cup a couple of years back. Sure they dont play in NHL but are there any fans out there? I am not, mostly because they are not on tv that much. Any thoughts?

Hockey? Isn't that some game where white people hit each other with sticks?

I don't like hockey nearly enough to like minor league hockey.

For me, I'll root for any team from Houston.

The problem though that keeps me from really being an Aeros fan is the TV thing. If I'm a fan of a sport, I'm still likely to only get to go to a couple games a year, but I can still follow most teams easily and stay a big fan.

With the Aeros on the other hand, the only way I can see them is if I go to the games. Meaning I would only be able to see them a couple of times a year with there being no television.

The games not being televised, along with little media attention for the team make it hard to follow.

True, Since they are in Houston, I would root for them too. I have had the privledge of going to a couple of games. I went when they were in the compaq center. I remember two fans that use to start a chant after every time the opposing team would score. It was actually quite hilarious. Forgot how it went...just know the last words were "and they still suck". I know the seats are not that expensive.

Houston is a fairly apathetic sports town anyway, even for the major sports. And if it's a minor league team playing a minor league sport - well, you might as well forget about it. I think hockey is a very cool game in spite of the occasional fighting.

I'm a fan. Enjoy going to the games. I wish they were televised.

I loved the Houston Gamblers even though I was too young to remember.
