I follow the great sport of Rugby League. This is not a sport....it is part of my lfe.I STRESS that this isnt the boring rugby you might have seen.Rugby League (The name of the sport is "Rugby League" or "Super League" in the UK) is a very fast exciting sport played by the worlds best athletes.Cheak out Australia's NRL at http://www.nrl.com.au and take a look at the USRL (Its only small though) at http://www.usrl.com
Anyone who want more info can contact me via ICQ.(You can find my ICQ number on my profile I think)

Anyway the other aussie sport I follow is cricket.

As for other sports Im a HUGE F1 fan.I follow Michael Schumacher and Ferrari [IMG]

In US sports Its all Rockets as far as the NBA goes.In the NFL I go for Dallas and will also go for Houston when they get their new team. The Astro's are also a team I follow (Just do tell anyone else :)

As you can see I am a sports tragic.I cant get enough of it.

I used to be the biggest Oiler fan in the world, but it all started going downhill after they lost to the Broncos for the second year in a row with only minutes left in the 4th quarter and a lead.

But, Bud Adams is still satan as far as I'm concerned.

So, I plan to be a fan of the upcoming Houston NFL team, even though they won't be named the "Rattlers" like they should've been.

I'm also an Astro fan, but I realize that they will never win anything until they change the way the organization is run,..... and EVEN that may not help.

That's about it for the "major" sports.

I also enjoy the "World's Strongest Man" competitions. I may or may not have Magnus Ver Magnusson's autograph. I am waiting for some verification on that.

I'm slowly becoming a fan of the WNBA, not just the Comets. But, it is taking some time.

I follow boxing casually. I'm usually most interested in the heavyweight division.

Sports I hate (to watch): Soccer, Golf, Wrestling (the fake kind), Hockey, "Extreme Sports"

Did you watch that cheerleading competition where one of the cheerleaders elbowed the girl next to her so hard her tooth flew out of her mouth. Hilarious stuff. Tough sport. I think that was on the Discovery Channel, though... why, I dunno... but we're all mammals.

I LOVE Baseball and i LOVE the Derek Jeter and the Yankees. I skip school to go to the parades and go to every game i have tickets for. It's really fun rubbing stuff into Mets fans' faces [IMG].

I always watch the Superbowl but I'm not a huge NFL fan. The only boxing i watch is the old "Rocky" movies with Stalone.

I don't know if it's wrong of me to not be interested in the WNBA and be an avid fan of the NBA, but i just don't like it as much. I only catch a few NY Liberty games or Comets(i like sheryl's game) games here and there

I enjoy woman's soccer, Mia Hamm is one of my top role models that isn't in the NBA or a political figure.

Hmm, is there any thing else?

Cricket got mentioned at least twice! Man, I live for that game. I'd have to say that I watch basketball, soccer, cricket, rugby (union, league is dull), golf, tennis and even a bit of (ice) hockey, though I find it hard to follow on the TV, much easier to see the puck live.

Big bloke runs into other big bloke 5 times, then some other big bloke kicks it. Give me one top ex-Union guy playing league. All the good ones came back as soon as Union went professional, and they were able to make a living from it. Union rules change as required, especially concerning scrums, rucks and mauls, (the so-called "use it or lose it" that now takes place).

    LOL.
Look at a list of union players who would be in the category of "promising young junior" and then look for them in Rugby League teams.Id name the players who have swapped to play League but it would take most of the C C Online web space up.

The fact of the matter is that Rugby League is a million times better then Frugby union(Or "kick and clap" as Australians like to call it) in every area. The games are most exciting. The players are fitter, stronger, faster and more skilled. The fans arnt up themselves, they are down to earth every day people. It goes on and on.

Frugby union has to be the most deathly boring sport on earth.here is how a game goes...
30 fat guy chase the kickoff....penalty......penalty.....penalty....halftime.....I think you get the picture.Ive seen less goal kicking watching a whole season of soccer!!!

Take a look at Rugby League/Super League.....if you dont your missing out!

It seems whenever I turn on the sports channel here, there's Rugby League on. We'll have to agree to differ, but you'll have to bear in mind that I live in a country where Union is a much bigger game than League. RL World Cup? I don't even know if there is one, or when and where it is!

Definately the great game of hockey.
Being a Canadian, I've been a hockey fan for as long as I can remember, even longer than basketball. Its just a great, adrenaline-pumping game that has traditions rooted deep in history. The awesome combonation of power, grace, finesse, bone-crunching checks and all-out speed of the game and the grit, determination, guts and endurance of the players make it one helluva sport.

I also watch Tennis (particularly the women's game with Anna Kournakova [IMG]), Baseball (Go Jays!), Soccer, and a little bit of Football.

GB the Rugby League World Cup is on in October in England and France. It will be the biggest World Cup ever with teams from all over the world. There will also be an emerging nations cup in which teams like Canada and the US will play.

Go cheak it out.If you get a chance go to see Australia play and you will see how good Rugby League is.Australia will win it as we win just about ever sport we try [IMG]

Hey Dreamer, I know it´s been almost a year since you wrote this but I just read it now.

"I also enjoy the "World's Strongest Man" competitions. I may or may not have Magnus Ver Magnusson's autograph. I am waiting for some verification on that."
I just wanted to let you know that it is really his autograph. I remember when you were talking about how you liked the "world´s strongest man competition" and that you liked Magnus. I met Magnus and got his autograph for you. I was just doing you a favor. Why would I go through the trouble of sending you a fake autograph. Anyway, I swear this is his autograph, and if you have any questions you can just ask.
